What are cookies

Cookies are small data files that are stored on the user’s computer during navigation and perform various functions such as remembering login data to services, gathering statistical information on pages visited, identifying the browser and device used, choosing content and information targeted at the user’s preferences, etc.

The cookies vary depending upon the type of data they memorize and how long they are saved on the user’s device.

Session or temporary cookies are valid only for a single web surfing session and vanish when the browser is shut down, while persistent cookies last longer (from a few minutes to whole months) depending upon the function they perform. These functions determine whether the cookies are technical or non-technical (or profiling cookies).

Technical cookies manage the data required to allow us to provide the web pages and facilitate navigation, for example, by allowing the user to access certain services with a single login and password, remembering the last page visited or to what point a user watched a video, recognizing the type of device used so the dimensions of the images can be adapted accordingly. Technical cookies are also used to perform aggregated statistical analyses on the pages most visited and user preferences, but only in anonymous form, and are not used to analyze the behavior or preferences of individual users.

Profiling cookies are used to analyze the interests and navigation habits of individual users in order to personalize navigation and provide, for example, targeted content and advertisements.

Cookies are served directly by the administrator of the site that the user is navigating (first-party cookies), or by third parties if the site uses external services for certain functions (third-party cookies).

This site uses both technical and non-technical cookies, including from third-parties, to improve the user experience of its site by adapting it, for example, in accordance with the browser and device being used, choosing the type of content to display, or displaying advertisements that may be of interest to the user.

If you find this site and see the cookie disclosure banner, if you continue navigating on the site, clicking on any element of the site or on an image or even simply scrolling down the page or closing the disclosure layer by clicking the "Agree" button, you are consenting to the use of the cookies described in this disclosure and implemented in the pages of this site.

Cookies may be disabled directly from the browser you are using by following the instructions provided by the various browsers or by using the appropriate programs. However, please remember that restricting the ability of websites to send cookies may have a negative impact on the overall navigation experience of the user.

Users may agree to receive cookies by specifically configuring their browser to do so. Most browsers allow users to configure their settings to manage the cookies sent only by some or by all sites, an option that permits users to exercise more control over their privacy and to refuse acceptance of the cookies, or to change the selections previously made. Below are instructions on how to manage cookies by configuring the settings of the most popular browsers:
